Who We Are

Aviation Cult was created in January 2017 by Pedro. It started solely as an Instagram page but it rapidly evolved into an Youtube channel and a website. Aviation Cult is an online group focused in entertainment and information related to Commercial Aviation.

The Team

Pedro

I am the owner and founder of Aviation Cult. Aviation Cult was created in January of 2017. It all started on Instagram with our account @aviationcult. The account quickly became one of the top aviation accounts and Aviation Cult started shifting into news and updates from the industry.

My passion for aviation started when I was born. My dad was a pilot, and he would always take me on his trips. Being around airplanes and pilots ignited my strong desire to be a part of this industry.

My passion towards aviation ignited since I was 5. I was really amazed by the Cathay Pacific ‘monster’ Boeing 747-400 jumbo when I’m flying it from Singapore Changi to Hong Kong. Since then, I have always browsed airline websites to search where I can fly to with this queen. The more aircraft models I know, the more fascinated I am.

At the age of 13, I’ve became aware of flight training on GA aircrafts. And after my 15th birthday, I had started flight training with Clamback and Hennessy in Bankstown Aerodome, Sydney.

Here I would like to share with you guys my flight reviews, flight training experiences, and news about the aviation industry. My goal is to enter the cadetship of Cathay Pacific, Cathay Dragon, or Hong Kong Airlines when I turn 18. If you have any advice, please do tell me!

 Hope you’ll enjoy!

I joined Pedro when Aviation Cult was solely an Instagram page. I primarily contribute to analysis discussions, with unique content to Aviation Cult. I believe the rate of progress in aviation is utterly astounding! A new aircraft will exist at some point in the future, that will make the 787 Dreamliner look like a DC10-10. You are welcome to contact me on Instagram @sm5apry

I joined Aviation Cult to contribute to the Website. Right now I am in charge of the Flight Sim section here on the website and I am the content manager for the You Tube channel. So expect more videos in the near future. If you have any questions or questions just write me a message on instagram @planespotter_jb.

I am living in Germany and my home airport, the airport I usually spend the most time in, is Düsseldorf.

Fourth to join, I amalgamated my Instagram account with Aviation Cult's during early-November. My media-based aviation career kicked off with the Instagram page, @egll_spotter. I am an aviation photography and author based in London, United Kingdom. Los Angeles-born, I frequently visit LAX and LHR with my Nikon D7000 camera, 18-105mm lens. I publish my photos on the website and on my Instagram page. I have been obsessed with commercial aviation since the age of 3. My uncle used to take me to the airport, where we watched planes land over RWY27L. Fast forward a few years later, at the age of 7 I got a flight completion certificate from LAX to LAX with the help of an instructor. I practiced flight daily on Infinite Flight while living in Mumbai for five years. My school was next to the runway, and while the teacher was talking about maths I was busy looking out of the window, mouth wide open, watching the daily BA139 777-300ER touch down on RWY27. After five years, I had memorized the whole flight timetable and knew which flights were usually delayed and which were always on-time. I travelled very often, usually within Asia to places like Bangkok and Singapore, or domestically to places like Delhi and Kolkata. Fast forward again, two years after returning from Mumbai back to London, I started my aviation-related hobbies again after forgetting about it all for a long period of time. I used my dad's first camera (he has a Nikon D750 now), a Nikon D7000. I started the Instagram account after returning from my annual summer trip to Los Angeles. I posted my first picture and it got 26 likes (it has been since deleted so don't go looking for it hehe). Fast forward a few months and here I am. Writing the majority of posts for aviationcult.com, posting on the Twitter (likely to soon go inactive), and regularly planespotting. I also have an enormous safety card collection ranging from the extinct Swiss Avro RJ100 to the also-extinct Cathay Pacific 747-400. If you need to contact me, my Instagram page is @egll_spotter. Enjoy our content!
