SCOOT TO OFFER FLIGHTS TO BERLIN!
Scoot has recently begun ticket sales for flights to Berlin that will commence on June 20, 2018.
This new route offers Australians a cheaper alternative to Europe compared to airlines such as Qantas and Emirates. It will depart Singapore for Berlin and gives Australians a new option to get to Europe with only one stop over.
Scoot will be operating these flights with the Boeing 787 equipment and the route was first announced in December 2017. This is the third long haul destination that Scoot are offering their passengers with flights to Athens and Honolulu starting June 2017 and December 2017 respectively.
The flights are offered for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. TZ734 departs Singapore at 0020 and arrives into Berlin at 0725. The return flight leaves Berlin at 0925 and arrives in Singapore at 0335 the next day. (All in local times).
Scoot's Chief Executive Lee Lin Hsin stated the addition of Berlin was part of the airline's efforts to offer travellers more choice of long haul travel for a lower cost.
Scoot will most likely use their Boeing 787-8 aircraft which features a 329 seat, 3,3,3 configuration in economy and 18 recliner-style seats in the ScootBiz cabin.
Scoot currently serves 4 airports in Australia with daily flights to Perth, Melbourne, Gold Coast and Sydney all of which originate in Singapore.
The recent movement of low cost airlines such as Scoot and Norwegian moving into long haul flights allows for more options for travellers at a cheaper cost and is revolutionising the long haul industry.
