Hong Kong Airlines receives a new Airbus A350

Hong Kong Airlines has taken delivery of its fourth Airbus A350-900 today. The aircraft with the registration B-LGD flew from Toulouse, France to Hong Kong on February 28. B-LGD is the fourth of Hong Kong Airlines’ order of 31 Airbus A350-900. Hong Kong Airlines has deployed the Airbus A350 on regional routes in order to familiarise the crew with the type. The A350 flies to the Asian cities Taipei, Shanghai, and Bangkok.

Hong Kong Airlines is also taking advantage of the A350-900’s fuel-efficiency to open new long-haul routes. In December of 2017, Hong Kong Airlines opened its first American route, to Los Angeles (LAX). On March 25 of 2018, the airline will start flights to San Francisco. Both American routes are served by their new Airbus A350-900.

Hong Kong Airlines Airbus A350-900 has capacity for 334 passengers. The aircraft is configured in two classes, Business and Economy.
