AeroExpo starts in Toluca
Yesterday the fifteenth edition of the AeroExpo fair was inaugurated, with headquarters in the Toluca International Airport (AIT) and the Convention and Exhibition Center of the same city. The event will last until April 21 and is estimated to receive up to five thousand people, said Alfredo Velázquez Maciel, president of the fair.
The goal of AeroExpo is to give space to executive aviation, said the vice president of the fair, Jaime Zamorano, and that this is his hallmark with respect to the other Mexican aerospace fair, Famex.
In the event, more than forty aircraft of different companies are exhibited, among which the H125 of Airbus, the Legacy 600 of Embraer, the G280 of Gulfstream Aerospace and the Falcon 8X of the French company Dassault Falcon stand out.
Also present were the Cirrus and Aerotron companies, which presented their Vision Jet aircraft for the first time in Mexico.
Most of the planes are implemented within the AIT for visitors, who can also quote their costs. Meanwhile, the Convention Center hosts stands of participating companies and organizations, such as Interjet, the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC), the airport of San Antonio, Texas, the Navy of Mexico and several others.
During the inauguration, Velázquez Maciel highlighted the importance of the New Mexico City International Airport as a job that will benefit the country's aviation industry, and noted that the Toluca airfield will also have an economic and growth boost due to this construction.
