Currently, Turkish Airlines have a fleet of 68 Airbus A321-200s, however it has 92 Airbus A321Neos on order. The Airbus A321s play a big part in the airlines' operations, as flights from Istanbul are becoming increasingly popular even though they already were. Many airlines choose to use the Airbus A320 as the baseline of their short/medium haul fleet, including British Airways, China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines, however Turkish Airlines is not following. The demand on flights to and from Istanbul is immense, with airlines eager to acquire slots at the airport however limited they may be.
