El Al Israel Schedules Last 747 flight

El Al Israel has recently scheduled its last 747 flight for March 2019. Many airlines have, or are preparing to do so, thus El Al has decided to follow. The airline has revealed that the last flight will be on the Bangkok route, which will therefore be replaced by other aircraft which offer a similar capacity. The Boeing 747 is El Als largest aircraft and also one of its oldest. Delta airlines recently said its goodbyes to its last Boeing 747-400 in December, while United said its farewells in November.

Although the dates are subject to change, El Al is currently preparing to retire its last Boeing 747-400 from service on the 31 March 2019, when the final flight will take off from Bangkok bound for a graveyard. The last commercial flight will depart a day before on the route between Tel Aviv and Bangkok. It will likely be a sad day for El Al and its staff, as it marks 47 years of the aircraft in service.
